The Missouri den exhibit was a lot of fun to paint. I finished it in March and it took me just over a month. The exhibit is for a timber rattlesnake and a couple copperheads, all beautiful snakes.
I based the mural mostly on pictures I took while hiking on the bluffs in Castlewood State Park (I highly recommend visiting there if you live in the St. Louis area). I included several local wildflowers and other local plant and fungus species.
